A dental consultation is a non-invasive visit to the dentist where you can discuss your issues, concerns, and treatment options. Dentist consultations usually include taking x-rays, going over your dental history, and performing an exam of your teeth and surrounding structures. Examination includes check on existing fillings, any new cavities, gum disease, worn dentition, status of existing crowns, dentures etc. bad breath, wisdom teeth status or other problems. A clean up and polishing may be included as well.

Dental problems continue to be a frequent cause of medivac, causing significant impact on man hours of employees working offshore. The dental care professional will take reasonable steps to ensure that the examinee’s dental health is adequate for work. The examiner will make specific examination of the oral cavity to determine whether the individual is dentally fit. Unfit individuals would be informed about the treatment procedures that need to be carried out to render them dentally fit.

At Panaga Health, we perform tooth extractions with minimal discomfort to treat a host of dental conditions. Broken, cracked, and/or excessively damaged tooth which cannot be saved by fillings or root canal are extracted under local anesthesia. We perform therapeutic extractions for Orthodontic treatment. We do not perform wisdom teeth extractions.

Inside every tooth is what is known as pulp, which supplies nutrients to the tooth. When the pulp becomes diseased or injured, pulp tissue dies, resulting in sensitivity and pain. Root canal treatment involves the removal of dead and diseased pulp and the subsequent cleaning, shaping and filling of the root canal with an inert material. A crown is then placed over the tooth to make it stronger. At Panaga health, we perform root canal treatment of single rooted teeth.
